A “New Parents Breakfast” will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009.

“Back-to-School Night” will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. This is an excellent opportunity for all parents to meet teachers, visit their child’s classroom, hear curriculum goals and expectations, and enjoy fellowship with other parents.
The School Fall Picnic is scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2009. This is an annual opportunity to enjoy social interaction with teachers and other parents.

Preschool through 4th graders will be attending “Beauty and the Beast” performed by Theater for Children by Children in the school gym on Saturday, October 16, 2009.

The middle school will take a field trip to Washington, D.C. on October 16, 2009 to visit the National Zoo.

The 1st through 4th graders will enjoy an on-site field trip by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on November 3, 2009.

The Valentine Museum, on November 10, 2009, will bring its Shakespeare Festival to the LMS middle schoolers.

The LMS-PTL Stone Soup Supper will be held on Friday, November 16, 2009. This popular occasion is another opportunity for fellowship and school community spirit.

The Virginia History Museum will bring its Powhatan Indians program to school to visit our pre-kindergarten through 4th graders.

The Richmond Mad Science will bring its interesting and unusual program to a full school assembly on Friday, January 8, 2010.

Middle school exams are scheduled for January 19-22, 2010.

Jonathan Austin, local magician and juggler, will perform in the school gym on Thursday, January 28, 2010.

The Virginia Historical Society will bring its World War I program to our middle schoolers on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Theatre IV will present to our Kindergarten-8th graders “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” on Monday, March 1, 2010.

LMS will host the Lutheran Invitational
Tournament, a four-school basketball event on March 5-6, 2010.

The school’s annual “International Night” will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Pre-kindergarten through 4th grade will be presenting this activity.

The Richmond Zoo will conduct an on-site field trip at the school for our Kindergarten through 5th graders on Thursday, April 15, 2010.

Grandparents Day will be held at LMS on Friday, April 23, 2010. School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.

Standardized testing is scheduled for May 3-7, 2010.

The Spring Musical and Middle School Expo will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010.

The LMS-PTL Fellowship Fair will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

The LMS Field Day for Pre-kindergarten-6th graders will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010.

The 7th and 8th graders will be taking a field trip to Hollywood
Cemetery on Friday, May 21, 2010.

Middle school end-of-year exams are scheduled for June 1-4, 2010.

The 8th grade graduation banquet will be held on Friday evening, June 4, 2010, in the school’s gym.

Graduation services will be conducted at the worship service of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1100 West Grace Street, on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
