Preschool classes for three, four, and younger five-year olds are held Monday
through Friday from 8:10 to 12:00 noon. Students are welcome in the classroom
beginning at 8:00, and ordinarily, they arrive no later than 8:30.
The Developmental Learning Methods (DLM) curriculum builds readiness skills while encouraging social, intellectual, and physical development. Discovery centers are used in each classroom. The children have “adventure time” where they take advantage of classes in music, art, creative movement, science, dramatic play, and Bible stories. Once a week, preschoolers visit the library where our librarian dresses up as "Granny Pockets" to share a story and help them choose a book to check out.
Throughout the year, Field Trips take our preschoolers to interesting places around the Richmond area. Parents are always welcome to come along as chaperones. Children may enroll in the Preschool program for either 3 days per week or 5 days per week. Preschoolers can also enroll in our Extended Day Program which provides care and activities from 7- 8:00 a.m. & from 12:00
- 5:45 p.m.
